Processing or fabricating a granite block plays the most crucial role in determining the aesthetic appeal and strength of any granite slab.

At Indus Geo Stones we ensure our processing partners are equipped with the state of the art machines and technologies, ensuring top-notch quality slab for our customers.

Here are few of the latest and best machines in use in India and Globally.

1. Jumbo Granite Gangsaw– This is also simply called ganagaw, is a heavy-duty machine designed to cut jumbo size granite blocks into uniform slabs, using multiple parallel blades. These machines perform high precession cutting ensuring perfection. As they use diamond row saws or diamond frame saws it can handle hardest of granites, and yield high straightness compared to other saws. The maximum block size that a jumbo gangsaw can handle is typically 3200x2500x200(HxWxT) mm. Its capacity to produce Large& thicker (20mm+) make it indispensable for premium slab production and large-scale projects.

2. Multi Block Cutter – A Multi Block Cutter is a sophisticated bridge-type cutting machine equipped with diamond-tipped concentric circular blades of various diameters (900-3000mm) mounted on a rigid Iron frame structure. This combination of different-sized blades on one spindle to cut a block into multiple slabs in a single pass, drastically increasing production capacities.

3. Calibration Machine– Stone calibration machines serve as the first stage in automated slab finishing lines. A calibration machine is specialized equipment used to grind the surface of a stone slab to a precise, uniform, and fixed thickness. This process is essential for removing uneven surfaces and irregularities left after cutting, ensuring the slabs have a perfectly level and flat surface before they undergo subsequent finishing stages, such as polishing. The machine ensures that each slab’s thickness identical, which is critical for high-end countertops

4. Automatic Slab Polisher – An automated slab polisher consists of a bridge assembly carrying 8-28 rotating polishing heads that evenly moves along the length of a slab. The rotating heads are fitted with diamond or resin-bonded abrasive discs. A PLC controlled system controls the head pressure, rotational speed, traverse speed, conveyor speed, enabling the machine to perfectly polish the rough slabs with almost negligible human intervention. Hence, producing perfectly polished surfaces for end use.

5. Bridge Cutter- A bridge cutter is an industrial machine used in the stone industry to cut and shape large granite slabs. The machine consists of a large diamond blade mounted on a bridge that moves on rails along the length of the slab. This machine enables manufacturers to cut slabs into any desired shape and size. It is ideal countertop fabrication, Tile & Panel manufacturing, Architectural works.
